Clockwork Prince ARC Giveaway on Goodreads

Did you know that Simon & Schuster, Ms Cassandra Clare's US publisher is giving away 100 ARCs of Clockwork Prince? That's madness. So for those of you who have never heard of The Infernal Devices series yet (which I seriously do not think is possible), here's the whole deal.

This is the second book in The Infernal Devices series, by the way.

Synopsis:
In the magical underworld of Victorian London, Tessa Gray has at last found safety with the Shadowhunters. But that safety proves fleeting when rogue forces in the Clave plot to see her protector, Charlotte, replaced as head of the Institute. If Charlotte loses her position, Tessa will be out on the street—and easy prey for the mysterious Magister, who wants to use Tessa’s powers for his own dark ends.

The special Collector’s First Edition will include a never-before-seen letter from Will to his family!

With the help of the handsome, self-destructive Will and the fiercely devoted Jem, Tessa discovers that the Magister’s war on the Shadowhunters is deeply personal. He blames them for a long-ago tragedy that shattered his life. To unravel the secrets of the past, the trio journeys from mist-shrouded Yorkshire to a manor house that holds untold horrors, from the slums of London to an enchanted ballroom where Tessa discovers that the truth of her parentage is more sinister than she had imagined. When they encounter a clockwork demon bearing a warning for Will, they realize that the Magister himself knows their every move—and that one of their own has betrayed them.

Tessa finds her heart drawn more and more to Jem, though her longing for Will, despite his dark moods, continues to unsettle her. But something is changing in Will—the wall he has built around himself is crumbling. Could finding the Magister free Will from his secrets and give Tessa the answers about who she is and what she was born to do?

As their dangerous search for the Magister and the truth leads the friends into peril, Tessa learns that when love and lies are mixed, they can corrupt even the purest heart.
Sad thing is, this giveaway is only for US residents. Which sucks. :( Lol, for us non-US peeps anyway. But oh well, all we can do is hope Ms Clare's international pubs will also take part. But US residents, if you don't sign up, you're either really stupid, or really stupid.

  1. I love that Cassandra’s books show you different characters points of view, it makes the anticipation, at least for myself, much more intense than it would otherwise. I’ve never really been one to read one book and that is the entire story. I feel that you don’t really get to know a character properly, which is why I loved this book and only really like Clockwork Angel. I love that in this book you really get to know Will. He’s not just arrogant and sarcastic anymore. He has a great amount of depth that you only get a glimpse of in the first book.

    1. I'm not big on the change in POVs, but it does have its benefits sometimes. Haha, that's why I'm not much of a Cassandra Clare fan. I haven't read TID series yet, but I really want to! Everyone's talking about it, and it sounds so, SO interesting! With its olden London setting, romance (there's a love triangle, right? I love love triangles!:D hehe), and action!! You seem to really like it though, so I guess I really should try this out. Time is so limited nowadays, but I'll try to make time for TDI. :D

I love comments. :) I may not be able to reply every single comment, but know that I read and appreciate every one of them. Thank you!
