This Iron Fey "Special" thing is that I will post a teaser on each of the Iron Fey series books every week, leading up to Oct 25th, where the fourth and sadly final book will be released, titled The Iron Knight.
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Today's Iron Fey teaser will be onnnnnnn...............
The Iron Queen! Third book in The Iron Fey series.
Blurb from Goodreads:
My name is Meghan Chase.
I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.
This time, there will be no turning back.
My Teaser
1) Drawing my blade, I wheeled Spikerail to face the army - my army, truth be told - and looked out over the taut, waiting forces.
"For Faery!" I called, raising my sword, and the rebels took up the cry.
2) My voice was lost then, as Ash closed the final few inches and kissed me. And in the quiet stillness before dawn, on the brink of a war that could tear us apart, our auras danced and twined in the darkness, coiling around each other until they finally merged, becoming one.

I was aiming for a quote that conveyed how much the book focuses on what. So since it was a lot about how Meghan stepped up to be a mature leader of her own army and about the romance that developed even more between her and Ash, I thought I'd pick those two up there.
Thanks for stopping by! So, what do you think about the series so far?
Aha! Someone else who's prepared early for Teaser Tuesday! I keep seeing this Iron Fey series all over the place - I really must given them a try because they look wonderful. :)

ReplyDeleteSo far I’m really liking Brightest Kind of Darkness! It definitely looks promising and it’s very intriguing. If I’d have to answer right now, I’d recommend it yes, but I’ve not come too far yet. I might have to get back to you when I’m further in or have finished it!
Oh, I love this series. I reviewed the ARC of Iron Knight and loved it. I hope everyone else does too.
