Book Two in the Legacy series
The Blurb
Only I saw Narian for who he truly was: a young man with courage and an independent mind, and made to pay for what was outside his control. He couldn't help his past any more than he could help the way those intense, deep-blue eyes pierced me and held me captive.
An eighteen-year-old queen in love with the enemy as their countries pass the point of no return...
Bound to a man she cannot love, Queen Alera of Hytanica must forget Narian, the young man who holds her heart. For Narian is destined to conquer Hytanica at the behest of his master, the powerful magic-user known as the Overlord. Alera doesn't truly believe Narian will fight against Hytanica-until Cokyrian troops attack with Narian commanding the charge.
Faced with the greatest betrayal a heart can know, Alera must set aside personal feelings and lead her kingdom through its darkest time. And when all hope, will and courage seem lost, she must find strength and remember that even the blackest night must have a dawn....

And if you haven't seen the first one, which is also very beautiful (and how could you not have seen it already? Lol, you're even worse than meXP Kidding):
But the model's lips looks a little unnatural, tho.... I'M SORRY! I know I'm mean, but oh well...

A discovery that I've made -
Doesn't ALLEGIANCE's cover resemble THE IRON FEY series' covers?
Doesn't ALLEGIANCE's cover resemble THE IRON FEY series' covers?
Squiggly lines? Just a little bigger in ALLEGIANCE's, but it's STILL THE SAME! Haha, hmm, budget? Nah, I'm not against the covers - both are serious beauties - it's just a shocking realisation. I love Harlequin books, by the way. They have never disappointed me before - or if they have, then I don't remember, or it's negligible - and maybe I'll pick up LEGACY soon and request AL's ARC on Netgalley after that.
Speaking of Netgalley, AL is up for request now, if you don't know it yet. Here's the link: http://netgalley.com/PopupHandler.php?module=catalog&func=galleyTitleDetails&projectid=12560
Anyway, thanks for stopping by today.:)
P.S. I have made another discovery: I am very verbose today.:P
P.P.S. I'm going to slow down on posting reviews for the rest of Nov and Dec. It's school hols season, so I've taken up language courses and well, I'm not a linguist so I need tons of practice.
great
ReplyDelete*sigh* I have Legacy sitting on my shelf, I want to read it so bad! Must pick it up soon, and I agree such pretty covers! (:
