Teaser Tuesday (#3) - The Iron Fey Special [Part Two]

Ok, some of you might know (or infer from the title of the post) that I've thought to do this Iron Fey Special. A little introduction. The Iron Fey series is written by Julie Kagawa. It has some crazy reviews and ratings on Goodreads, and it is one of my favourite series of all time. You should try it if you haven't..It's like, the new "in" thing now.:)

This Iron Fey "Special" thing is that I will post a teaser on each of the Iron Fey series books every week, leading up to Oct 25th, where the fourth and sadly final book will be released, titled The Iron Knight.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

So, introducing......

Blurb from Goodreads:
Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.
Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

Since I gave a teaser on Ash and Meghan last week, I thought some Puck goodness was in order.

My Teaser

A low hum vibrated in the air, accompanied by the rhythmic sound of tapping keys. Humans sat at desks within each cubicle, dressed in identical white shirts and gray pants, staring glassy-eyed at the monitors as they typed away.

"Whoa," Puck muttered, looking around. "Cubicle hell."

Simultaneously, the tapping stopped. --Page 238

I wanted to post a part where Puck was all serious and all hotness, but then it wouldn't have brought out the real Puck. The one that was the legendary Prankster and the one who was always there with a good joke or two up his sleeve.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by! So what do you think of the series so far?
